New sensors and technology helps Edison monitor high risk locations

Some of our most devastating wildfires recently have come from utility company power equipment often impacted by  powerful winds. 

That’s why Southern California Edison is getting ahead of these dangerous conditions with more weather related equipment, spread out in high risk areas.

  1. It’s not just a warning, they are going to shut off the power in certain conditions. It will be incredibly annoying. Wish they would maintain their equipment instead!!

  2. Should we be excited about a WARNING? When what we need is for these utilities to bury the lines altogether! When will the safety of our citizens’ take precedence over the profit of government supported utilities? How many more lives need to be lost?
