The Santa Maria Police Department’s Special Enforcement Team and Detective Bureau frequently get phone calls about a variety of cases including violent crimes, gang related information, wanted persons and narcotics offenses. In order to streamline communication between the citizens and our detectives, we have created a new phone number for information and tips. The phone number is intended for information on serious crimes that would be investigated by detectives.
This number is both easy to reach and remember. Just dial the Santa Maria Police Department at (805) 928-3781. When you reach the automated phone tree dial COPS (2677). Your phone call will go directly to a voicemail where you can leave a message. The messages can be anonymous or you can leave your name and phone number if you want contact from an officer.
This phone number is not monitored 24 hours per day. For emergency calls, call 911.
