New Internet Provider

By Patrick

Everyone always complains about the monopoly that Cox has over internet access in Santa Barbara.   I just received a mailer from HughesNet.com, for what appears to be 1/3 the cost of my current Cox service (for the first year, then 50% of the cost thereafter).  Does anyone have experience with HughesNet?  I hadn’t heard of them until now.

  1. Frontier does appear to be rolling out FIOS in Santa Barbara. Their websites shows 500/500 Mbps options available in 93105. FiOS 500/500/FiOS TV/Custom Digital Voice for $84 a month plus taxes, equipment rentals, and fees is pretty damn good.
