On 12/6/2017 at 2013 hours, officers responded to a shooting call in the 300 block of W Newlove Dr. A shooting victim was found and taken to the hospital where he died.
The victim is Adrian Velazquez, 17 years of age, a resident of Santa Maria. The motive for the shooting is unclear and the investigation is ongoing.
