The “Flying A” silent film actors were happy to make themselves useful – even offscreen – in Santa Barbara. One day in 1913, a toddler appeared at the studio, located at Mission and Chapala. Jack Kerrigan, one of the leading actors, helped reunite the child with her mother.
“Jack Kerrigan turned rescuer with a vengeance last week, when a wee, two-year-old child wandered into the American’s studio . . . Kerrigan acted as combined parent for over two hours, hurrying up and down the streets until the frantic mother was found.
