A neighbor captured these photos of a mountain lion in their backyard this week.
This was off Veronica Place and the hill behind their house faces Veronica Springs. Seen around 10:00 a.m.

Cool, a short tailed with black ear tufts Puma that looks just like the bobcat photo 3 days ago.
Size too. Well, at least it wasn’t a house cat this time!
A friend of mine had a Mountain lion leap across the trail in front of him, near Knapp’s Castle. He told me once you see that tail, you never forget it. The tail is what left the biggest impression on him.
I didn’t want to be the first to question it. Sure wish there was a close-up. The tail is against a gray piece of wood, so it’s hard to see.
This was also posted on Nextdoor and the person who snapped the photos commented that they could clearly see the long tail, although it doesn’t show well in the photo, and it was a very large animal.
Obviously it’s not a very large animal, so maybe it didn’t have a very long tail.
