A mountain lion spotted [Tuesday] morning above Franceschi Park, people in the area should be advised.
I just spoke with the city. There are two regulars in the area that travel as far down as state street. They are healthy and simply doing their natural thing. Small animals should be kept inside as the mountain lions are preparing for winter.
what a beautiful post. I like the “stay out of his way” attitude.
Nothing new, they are all over the city, most especially in the hills and around big parks. Have been for as long as I can remember.
Good spot for pickin’ off prey. Good idea not to let your dog run around off leash, much.
We see them all the time, and they are so intetesting to watch. Once you see one, you will understand why the authorities warn you about the danger. We hardly ever go outside these days unless there are two or more of us so we can literally watch each other’s back. They are wild and extremely powerful animals…not benevolent Disney cartoon characters!!!
He/she has been in our yard a few times in the past year – across from Parma Park, northeast side of SB.
Indeed. Keep an eye on your small pets, and children too.
Sometimes, pre-dawn, I stand at my bathroom window, overlooking my dark back yard, thinking I may see a Mountain lion passing through or maybe a Coyote or two. Hasn’t happened yet b
