A motorcyclist sustained major injuries following a collision in Isla Vista late Tuesday night.
At 11:23 p.m., Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to a report of a traffic collision in the 6800 block of Del Playa Drive.
The male motorcyclist allegedly crashed into the back of a passenger vehicle and required medical attention for major injuries, reports SBCFD Captain Daniel Bertucelli.
The family inside of the vehicle assisted firefighters on the scene and the motorcyclist was transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
This incident is under investigation.
