Motorcyclist Collides with Horse Trailer

The Santa Barbara County Fire Department responded to a collision between a motorcyclist and a horse trailer on Sunday afternoon.

At 12:32 p.m., fire crews arrived in the 1900 block of N. Refugio Road in the Santa Ynez Valley. They discovered a motorcyclist, a male in his 20’s, suffered critical injuries after colliding with the horse trailer that was being towed.

The patient was flown to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital via Calstar7.

California Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.
