A motorcycle collision sparked a vegetation fire on Harris Grade in Lompoc on Monday.

At 6:08 p.m., Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to the intersection of Rucker Road and Harris Grade in Vandenberg Village.

Crews discovered a motorcyclist with major injuries. The rider was transported by ground ambulance to the Lompoc Airport and was helicoptered to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment.
