Always enjoy these Joe, thank you. Curious if you’re up to the task of tackling any other local historic photos that aren’t of the mission?
Hello, glad you’ve enjoyed the colorizations and THANK YOU! Comments like this got me from dabbling on a couple of pics to reaching number 46!!! YES, very interested in tackling other historic photos!!! Catch is that there are not that many old photos of structures that are still standing and recognizable today. When photography was young, it wasn’t that easy to take a picture, so you REALLY wanted to have a picture of something to make it worthwhile. Most common photos taken here: The Mission, Castle Rock (no longer exists), Los Banos 1st & 2nd (no longer exists), Stearn’s Wharf. I’ve seen pre-earthquake colorized photo postcards of State St.from various viewpoints. My e mail is pchjdl@gmail.com if you’d like to send what you’re thinking of! Cheers and thanks for reading Edhat!
Thank you so much, Joe, for these wonderful colorizations that you share with us. They bring these images to life for we descendants who take photography so for granted!
