By the edhat staff

Community members are alerting the public of a missing teenager who was last seen in Nipomo on August 27th.

Shawna Seybold, 19, was last seen leaving her grandparents’ house on Glenhaven Place at 11:00 a.m. with possibly only her photo I.D. and some cash that she had in her wallet.

Seybold’s family went camping from August 26-28th. On the evening of the 26th she reportedly spoke to her mother on the phone and nothing seemed out of the ordinary. When her family came home on Sunday August 28, they discovered Seybold was not home.

“We had neighbors look at their security videos and they discovered she left home walking at 11 AM Saturday morning the 27th she was wearing a black t-shirt, black pants and black shoes and carrying a small black camera bag. This is not something that is common for her to do it’s very “out of the ordinary” for her! We’ve called everybody we know friends and family no one has seen her she’s just gone,” stated a relative of Seybold’s on Facebook.

Seybold is described as being 5’10” in height and 150 pounds with dark, short auburn hair, transitional prescription glasses, and wearing clothes with anime designs, carrying a small gray backpack. She is described as being very quiet and keeping to herself.

Anyone who has seen her is asked to contact the San Luis Obispo County Sheriffs Department at: (805) 651-3650.
