A local clothing store is asking for the community’s help in identifying a woman caught on camera stealing plants.

On Wednesday, El Potrillo Western Wear posted screenshots of videos on Instagram showing a white woman with blonde hair stealing Talavera Pots “and many other things” from the store’s patio once they closed.

“She came in with some gardening pruners on her back pocket… I’m assuming she’s a resident around the neighborhood?” the shop, located at 612 N. Milpas Street, stated.

The store hopes someone in the community will recognize the woman and will come forward with information.

El Potrillo Western Wear can be reached on Instagram, by phone at (805) 568-1943, or email at Elpotrilloww@aol.com.

    • thats because “Karen” is a derogatory term for a specific race and gender. yall like to cry when it’s another race/ethnicity, but if it’s a white person, it’s ok to call her that? How would that be any different from calling a black woman a slanderous and derogatory term? It’s not. Double standard folks, if it’s not ok to call names to one ethnicity, its’ not ok to call others as well. a bit confusing that most of you can’t grasp that concept.

      • Eh….. there are plenty of non-white Karens out there. Just because most entitled, whiney, racist women are white doesn’t mean all Karen’s are white. “Karen” is nothing like the racist slurs for non-whites. I don’t see a double standard there. Calling out a white woman being rude and racist is not the same as calling a minority a racist slur. It’s about their bad behavior, not their skin color.

      • The uproar from older white women over an internet slang pejorative is comical. Those upset are completely ignoring the reason why this term became popular. White women targeting minorities because they think they’re up to no good when these minorities are simply minding their business. The anger should be at the inherent racism of these “Karens” and not the harmless term used to describe them.

        • first off, don’t comment if you’re going to be weak and hide your handle. Second, idgaf how you spin it. It’s derogatory and no different than calling another race a similar term. You can put lipstick on a pig, it’s still a pig.
“Anon”, so you say the anger should be at the inherent racism of these “Karens” and not the “harmless” term used to describe them. Right. So with your policy/views/perception. All slanderous racist terms are ok if you aren’t angry and white. Lol ok….
you people just want to make up rules as you trudge along. Calling a white woman a Karen is as racist as calling my native american adopted son, Tonto. It’s BS and rude AF
