The final answer for the finale 2023 March Edness game is… The Sperling Donor Recognition Marker located in the Ellwood coastal preserve. It was designed by John Iwerks is less than a half-mile from Coronado Drive in Goleta. Tie-breaker instructions for our top players is below.

TIE-BREAKER CHALLENGE
Tomorrow (Saturday, April 1, 2023) at 8:00 a.m., we will post a handful of photos, trivia, and maybe a riddle or two for the top three players to complete. The first player to submit all the correct answers will win first place! If all players submit incorrect answers, the player that has the most correct answers will win. The tie-breaker will be posted on edhat.com, just as the March Edness posts are posted.
MARCH EDNESS PARTY
We made the official announcement yesterday that this year’s March Edness party will coincide with our 20th Anniversary Party on April 19th from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Carr Winery. Read the full announcement here.

I live at the edge of the Ellwood bluff and have walked past that marker hundreds of times! Had I realized those were Monarchs hanging from a eucalyptus branch I would have known what it was immediately. Oh well.
