Santa Barbara County Firefighters responded to an incident where a man fell from a 30-foot ladder in the Santa Maria Valley.
At 2:05 p.m. Thursday, crews arrived in the 3500 block of Black Road for a reported fall with two engines, one Batallion Chief, and one ambulance. They discovered a 52-year-old male has sustained significant injuries from a fall off a 30-foot ladder.
A CalStar helicopter responded and transported the victim to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
The incident is under investigation.
