A man was transported by helicopter from Santa Cruz Island for a medical emergency on Wednesday.
At 2:17 p.m., Santa Barbara County Air Support Unit helicopter 964 was requested by the National Parks Service to arrive at Scorpion Anchorage.
A 72-year-old male was transported with fire medics to the Santa Barbara Airport then transported by ground ambulance to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
No further information was available.
