On Thursday, May 10th at approximately 11:30 P.M., patrol officers responded to a report of a suspicious male subject in the Granada parking garage elevator.
Officers responded and contacted Kenneth Riley Jr., age 35. Riley was evasive in questioning and found to be in possession of an illegally-sized knife. An investigation yielded elevator video that showed the suspect lurking in the elevator concealing himself in the corner of the elevator as he was peering outside the open door.
While Riley was evasive in questioning at first, when confronted with the existence of video evidence, he provided an altered suspicious account. He was subsequently arrested for felony charges relating to the knife.
Laying in Wait….
This is terrifying!
No kidding! Next time, I’m poking a stick around in an empty elevator before getting in!
Thank heavens for see something say something. Thank heavens the police are on top of this type of thing.
Don’t know about the “Laying in Wait.” Maybe he was hiding from someone really bad. Situation gives one a new appreciation for windowed elevators.
looks like he is hurting for a fix in that mug shot. Good catch !
Lying in wait.
