Main Jail COVID Outbreak Numbers Declining

Since our last press release on Monday, September 20, 2021, the Sheriff’s Office Main Jail has identified four additional COVID positive inmates associated with the recent outbreak, bringing the total cases to 87. There are 26 active COVID positive inmates from this outbreak, with 60 inmates having recovered and 1 inmate released from custody.

All COVID-positive inmates are consistently monitored by healthcare staff.

The Sheriff’s Office is continuing to work with Santa Barbara County Public Health and our WellPath partners to mitigate this outbreak.
