Montecito Firefighters were on the scene of a vehicle that collided with a parked US Postal Service delivery van on Monday evening.

The postal service worker was not in the vehicle at the time, but the driver of the other vehicle was transported to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.

Montecito personnel spent some time afterward collecting the scattered mail.
