What are the super loud planes flying over SB around 1:45 am? Shook the whole house.

At precisely 1:30am Tues night/Wed morning an extremely low-flying helicopter passed overhead (downtown around Bath/Castillo, ~6 blocks south of Cottage) – sooo low it caused our doors, windows, and the whole house to rattle and shake – more than last week’s earthquake! We’re hearing emergency choppers heading to the hospital on occasion, but this was not ‘usual’. Anyone else hear it, feel it, or know what it was?
Wonder if that explains why I woke up around that time, but I didn’t look at my clock till almost 2am ….
We had helicopters up here in the Lompoc area around 11 p.m. They were very heavy sounding. I thought it was a missile going off. They seemed to circle around several times, very loud and very low. There were several online comments about the noise this morning. Someone said it was some kind of exercise.
We live next door to La Cumbre Jr High and it about shook our house off the foundation! What the heck was that all about?! After the recent earthquake thought it was The Big One that they keep warning us is coming.
Woke me up too, at 1:30 AM. Downtown West Anapamu. I thought it was going to land on my roof. It moved a large picture frame on the wall. Doesn’t anyone know what it was?
Heard it in Noleta. Reminded me a bit like after 9-11 when late night choppers and/or AC-130H gun ships were loudly hovering around and circling the city in practice for assaults on Al Queda.
Heard it in West Downtown and looked at my clock at 1:33am. Too lazy to get out of bed and look…what was it? I heard other helicopters in the distance….. So low and so loud and very uncharacteristic.
Definitely helicopter(s), not plane(s). Perhaps a night training flight to the E-bar and back (except the E-bar is no more).
I can’t find the article but I’m pretty sure Pnt Magu made an announcement that there would be a large uptick in flight activity and training in the month of April. Including other air equipment coming from other Air Force bases such as Edwards, etc.
