It was brought to the attention of the Lompoc Police Department that a fraudulent letter is being circulated stating that if someone receives state assistance benefits, they must be mandatory COVID-19 tested to continue receiving these benefits.
Additionally, this letter states that if someone does test positive with COVID-19, children may be removed from their home. The LPD is asking if you receive this letter, to please ignore the letter as it is a fraudulent and a scam.
