Lompoc Police Officer Injured in Traffic Collision Involving Suspect Arrest

Summary :
On 01/04/2024, at approximately 11:49 am, Lompoc Police Officers assisted a U.S. Marshals service fugitive apprehension team in the area of the 800B N “A” St in Lompoc.

A wanted male subject was running from the apprehension team. LPD Officers arrived to assist and during the event, two city of Lompoc police vehicles were involved in a collision.

One Officer sustained injuries and was transported to an area Hospital, where he is recovering. The wanted male subject was arrested.

The CHP arrived a short time later and is investigating the collision.
