Santa Barbara County firefighters prepare for the upcoming fire season by training at Camp Roberts with prescribed burns.

On Friday several crews worked to burn out 7,000 acres of brush in the San Luis Obispo and Monterey County areas.

Crews hone their burning skills and get mentally prepared for the upcoming fire season.
