District Attorney Joyce E. Dudley announced today that since Sunday’s Mass Shooting in Las Vegas over 20 local victims, witnesses, friends or employers have contacted the District Attorney’s Office Victim-Witness Assistance Program for information and assistance.
Even with this response," according to DA Dudley, we continue to hear that there are many, many more people who have not heard that they can receive services through our office.
If you or someone you know, including an employee of your organization, was a victim or witness to the Route 91 music festival shooting please advise them that the District Attorney Victim Advocates are available to help with referrals, support and assistance regarding California Victim Compensation (CalVCB) benefits.
As a reminder, CalVCB can help victims of crimes that occur in California as well as California residents who become victims or witness violent trauma while visiting other states or another country. The District Attorney Victim Witness Advocates can be reached by calling (805) 568-2400.
