Is was hiking on Saddlerock trail in Montecito and saw this mushroom I think it’s a mushroom? Does anyone know what kind it is?

Yes, it’s a mushroom. Did you happen to notice what types of trees were growing nearby?
Could be Omphalotus olivascens, aka jack-o-lantern
Go back and look at it at night. Jack-o-lantern fungus gets that name because it is bioluminescent. It has a greenish glow.
It’s a beautiful mushroom. I would to see it glow at night.
