Injured Mountain Biker Rescued from Paradise Road

An injured mountain biker was rescued from Paradise Road on Sunday.

At 12:02 p.m., Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to the area near the Camuesa connector and river in the Los Padres National Forest, states Captain Scott Safechuck.

Crews discovered a 42-year-old female bicyclist with a lower leg injury.

Search & Rescue, Los Padres Fire, and Air Support helicopter 308 also responded.

The bicyclist was packed, airlifted into the helicopter, and flown to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment.
