Injured Motorcyclist on Highway 101

A motorcyclist crashed on Highway 101 south near La Cumbre Road at 2:00 p.m. [Tuesday].

CHP reports the rider collided with a vehicle causing the motorcycle to land in the number two lane and the rider in the number one lane.

A white sedan was pulled over on the right side of the roadway. 

The motorcyclist sustained an injury to their right leg and has been transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment.

Heavy traffic in the area.
