Injured Hiker Rescued from Nojoqui Falls

An injured hiker was rescued from Nojoqui Falls on Saturday morning.

Santa Barbara County Fire firefighter-medics and EMTs responded to the call at 11:05 a.m. near Buellton. 

The Fire Department’s Utility Task Vehicle (UTV) carried the emergency responders to the response area where they located a 50-year-old male. 

The hiker was extracted in the UTV and brought to an ambulance that transported him to Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital.

The extent of the injuries are unknown. 

Santa Barbara County Fire Department has 11 UTVs in its fleet to respond to calls in remote areas.
