How to Keep Ash Out?

After being evacuated for 12 days and hearing that my house survived (thanks to our local and national Fire Fighters!) I discovered there is quite a bit of cleanup.
While my windows were shut it looks like they were not fully sealed or locked, and my home is filled with ash that came through every window and doorway. It looks like my 12 days of being evacuated might turn into twice that amount of time in trying to clean up.
Does anyone have any tips on keeping the ash out? My home and car are disasters and my HEPA filter already looks dark grey and the filters were just put in!
