When I’m driving on Hollister Avenue, entering Old Town Goleta, my Sirius/XM satellite radio cuts out at Kellogg Avenue, in front of the Toyota dealership, and reception doesn’t return until just past the Goleta Community Center, a block or so away. There are no trees or overhead obstructions at all on that stretch of Hollister, and I have no idea why this happens. Going back, it’s the same situation in reverse. Is there some kind of electrical equipment in that area that could cause this? It happens every single time I’m in that area.
Some cellular transmissions are known to interfere with satellite radio, specifically T-Mobile towers.

I looked at the cell tower placement and there are 3 towers triangulating that specific location.

If you look at T-Mobile’s coverage map, it has strong signal in that very specific narrow area of Goleta from 217 to about Pine Ave.

I have the same problem on State St. between Hope and La Cumbre Plaza/Chucks and also on State from Las Positas to De La Vina.
If only “dead zones” would appear in restaurants and other enclosed places where others are forced to listen to cell phone twaddle & the longer the conversation, the more likely it’s verbal, er, loose stool.
