Hit and Run Driver Arrested in Santa Maria

On Monday, March 20, 2023, at about 7:49 PM, Santa Maria Police Officers responded to an injury hit and run (vehicle vs. pedestrian) traffic accident near Bunny and Broadway.

The pedestrian, an adult male, was walking on the sidewalk when a vehicle drove out of a parking lot and struck the pedestrian, dragging him for several feet and running him over.

The pedestrian suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Marian Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Officers canvassed the area for video surveillance and located video that led them to a trailer park in the 1000 Block of N. Broadway.

The suspect vehicle was located there, as was the driver, Adolfo Zafra Dominguez (48 yrs./Santa Maria). Dominguez was arrested and booked into the Santa Barbara North County Jail for Felony Hit and Run and Driving Without a License.  His Bail was set at $50,000.
