High Voltage Wires Down on Southbound La Cumbre Exit

By Geo Duarte

4:15 PM, Sat. 7/29/23. A huge branch from a tree fell onto the number one lane. Just before the exit at La Cumbre, on the SB number one lane of the 101 freeway exit.

CHP, Caltrans, and SB City Fire Dept. responded. The power lines were not immediately affected by the branches which were mostly laying on the shoulder and partially on the #1 lane.

The fallen branches were soon trimmed back by Caltrans workers, and thus were no longer a hazard to the 101 Hwy’s SB shoulder and number one lane.
