High Speed Pursuit Near Vandenberg Village

Santa Barbara Sheriff (Edhat)

A high speed police pursuit took place near Vandenberg Village early Tuesday.

According to John Palminteri, Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Deputies were pursuing a vehicle traveling 100 mph in the area of Harris Grade Road and Rucker Road around 3:00 a.m.

The driver was apparently in a stolen vehicle and was able to evade law enforcement.

Multiple units were on the scene searching for the suspect.

This is a developing story.

  1. Happening now… Sheriff’s Deputies detained a suspect at Neverland Ranch in Santa Ynez. Suspect was making threats that he was going to kill everyone on the property. The ranch was on lockdown while security and deputies located the suspect and apprehended him.
