High Speed Pursuit Ends in Santa Maria

A high-speed pursuit that started in Goleta ended in Santa Maria on Tuesday evening.

Around 8:30 p.m., Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Deputies attempted a traffic stop on Highway 101 at Los Carneros in the northbound lanes. The suspect driving a gray Chevy Tahoe failed to yield as deputies pursued.

California Highway Patrol used a spike strip on the Tahoe just south of Clark Ave in Santa Maria.

Two suspects were arrested.
