The Santa Barbara Police Department Property Crimes Unit is looking for assistance in identifying a female subject involved in multiple grand thefts from retailers within the city of Santa Barbara, CA.

So why did the cops blur out the license plate?
Unfortunate that the license plate is blurred, but the rear plate looks like it might be an out of state plate, so that could be something.
If the cops blurred the license plate then they would not need our help.
There’s software to help enhance and “deblur” certain images, but even that technology has its limits. I thought the same thing at first, Rex, when I saw the photos—-that the info was intentionally blurred. It’s so bad. Let’s hope someone can help the SBPD retrieve some kind of info off that plate.
