Does anyone know why there have been helicopters flying over Hidden Valley?

  2. Maybe the choppers are flying over to see the nudist area at Valle Verde? haha.

    but choppers fly over Hope Ranch south of Modoc Road all the time. for years.

    There is an airport to the north in Goleta where planes and choppers are based.

    So they probably fly over rural areas or less populated neigbborhoods. ie More
    Mesa, Hope Ranch, Hidden Valley, The Mesa, etc.

    Or they vary the routes to not get complaints from one area.

    and volume may depend on fires or projects in the county.
