Head On Traffic Collision on Highway 1

At 8:32 p.m., Santa Barbara County firefighters responded with Vandenberg Air Force Base Fire Department to the intersection of Highway 1 and Santa Lucia Road. They discovered a head-on collision between two vehicles with a total of four patients, said Captain Dave Zaniboni.

Three patients suffered minor injuries and were transported to Lompoc Hospital. A fourth patient suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Marian Medical via ground ambulance. 

California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of this incident.
