A head-on traffic collision on State Route 154 caused three injuries Tuesday afternoon.

At 4:32 p.m. Santa Barbara County Firefighters responded to the 2900 block, west of Windy Gap, and found two vehicles that had collided head-on, with a total of three patients.

One male was driving a Ford Ranger heading westbound on SR-154 and suffered minor to moderate injuries as it collided with a white Honda CRV heading eastbound. Inside the CRV, the male driver suffered minor to moderate injuries and the female passenger suffered major injuries. Two ambulances transferred all patients to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, reports SBCFD Public Information Officer Mike Eliason.

Traffic was reduced to one lane in the area and delays may occur. The California Highway Patrol is investigating this collision.
