Happy Easter edhatters! It’s time for hiding eggs, baskets of treats, cuddly bunnies, and pastel-colored everything. It’s also a day for families to get together for brunch, lunch, breakfast, or bbqs.
According to Wallethub, candy is the biggest expense for this holiday with Americans expecting to spend $3 billion on sweet treats alone. An expected $20.8 billion in total is expected to be spent for today’s celebrations, approximately $170 per person celebrating.
A lot of the focus is on kids and that big fluffy bunny. About 66% of parents will make Easter baskets for their kids with the most popular item being chocolate bunnies. According to this survey, 78% of people eat chocolate bunny ears first while 11% start with the tail and another 11% with the feet.
