On Monday, April 27, 2020 detectives from the Special Investigations Bureau with assistance from the California Highway Patrol served a search warrant in the 400-block of Valdez Avenue. Detectives authored the warrant as part of an ongoing investigation into criminal activities involving the suspect who is on active County Probation. The warrant was served at the residence of the suspect, 26-year-old Heraclio Pulido.
During the warrant service, detectives located two Springfield 1911 pistols, a Glock .40 caliber pistol, an FN57 pistol, a Marlin .22LR rifle, a Mossberg pump-action shotgun, a .357 revolver, and an AR15 rifle. They also found a methamphetamine pipe, prescription medication, methamphetamine, cocaine, a scale and baggies. Pulido was taken into custody without incident.
Pulido was booked at the Main Jail for possession of a controlled substance for sale (felony), possession of a controlled substance with a firearm (felony), possession of a controlled substance (felony) and possession of drug paraphernalia. The bail for these charges was $0 in accordance with the Emergency Bail Schedule.
Must have small hands….
“The bail for these charges was $0 in accordance with the Emergency Bail Schedule.” So he’ll be out on the street again after being arraigned, staring down a long prison sentence and not much of a future. I’m sure he’ll behave.
The Judicial Council, the head of California Courts, has issued new rules during COVID-19, requiring an emergency bail schedule during the pandemic. The new rule sets bail for people accused of a misdemeanor or low-level felony at $0 while they await trial.
Great leadership we have!
Just one more of those responsible gun owners.
Firearms worshippers can rationalize almost anything.
Amazing. Not one mention by the sheriff’s office about this individual who was on “active Probation” was in possession of firearms except as a side note to “possession of a controlled substance with a firearm.” That in itself is a felony in California. Cal. Penal Code § 29815: “As an express condition of probation, is prohibited or restricted from owning, possessing, controlling, receiving, or purchasing a firearm”. Yet another example that all 100+ anti-gun laws we have on the books here don’t work, will never work, and only affect and are costly to law-abiding citizens. And that fabulous “zero bail” ruling as promoted by Newsom and Becerra should really be a benefit to this outstanding “citizen.” What a magnificent system of government and justice we have developed in this state.
the first thing I thought was… damn those are some clean guns.
Yes. Ironic how some of those guns are banned in California. It’s almost like criminals don’t obey the laws.
Who else wants to know how long it took for that cash to be so precisely arranged? And the artistry of the entire tableau is impressive. Does the officer creating this work of art get paid for his/her time? How fun.
just one more of those anti-gun freaks… look, i can do exactly what you’re doing too. notice how useless it is?
You’re right. Five in the list and six on the table. I wonder how many of those bills didn’t make it into inventory?
0 bail…. this is scary, he has stuff to commit a lot of murder and crime here, turns my stomach!
Wow.31 comments and not one about the fact that the covid hysteria is to blame for allowing this D-bag out of jail”free” to continue his trade.
So many people have absolutely no comprehensive thinking skills, that there is no mention of WHY he is back out on the streets.
Governor “Newsance” is just knee jerk reacting to all the covid hysteria himself.
Wonder why he is out? Mask wearing sheeple scare me more than this punk.
if you are supportive of the complete lockdown of our economy and society then you cannot be upset about $0 bail for cases like this.
I am sure he’s out looking job today,as there are so many places hiring.
SHMONK – for pete’s sake, you anti-distance folks are a bunch of snowflakes! Are you kidding me? A “complete lockdown of our economy and society??” Have you been to Target? Ordered food from Los Agaves? Gone grocery shopping? 7-11? Been to the beach? Gone for a walk? Jeez man….. we still have plenty open and running here. Go cry me a river for the other countries where going outside your house is illegal, where every single store except for grocery stores are completely shut down (ie, no delivery, take out, curbside service, etc). Enough with the crying about the “lockdown” already. We are still able to do and buy plenty, given the circumstances.
$0 Bail means NO bail. Not that he was released without bail.
I’m not anti social distancing at all. If you are for the shutdown of our society then you cannot complain about the side effects that has — $0 bail and letting prisoners out of our jials to slow the spread of disease. Please read the comments you reply to before typing a wall of drivel
SACJON — also your reply reeks of privilege. Clearly you have not lost all sources of income or you are not a small business owner struggling to get by. It’s not all about you.
wrong. Why type something like this if you have no idea what you are talking about
https://wclp.org/california-courts-set-emergency-bail-schedule-to-0-for-most-offenses/
I also like that they name the manufacturer and caliber of everything, and then simply call the last one AR-15, despite them being made by a zillion companies and in multiple calibers. I guess that’s all we need to hear to make sure its scary, lol.
SHMONK – You completely missed the point of my comment. Read it slowly and try again. We DO NOT have a “complete lockdown of our economy and society,” we just don’t.
he’s on Probation as well… amazing.
“lower level felonies” … Sign o’ the times, more Destruction of Language.
All about me?? HAhaha! This from someone who is for re-opening everything, risks be damned, just because they don’t want to be told what to do or not do by the “evil guvment.” Like I said, cry me a river, snowflake. It’s not all about your temporary loss of “freedom,” it’s about caring for and respecting the physical health of our community as a whole.
SACJON, When will we go back to normal? Or will we? Freedom is in suspense because of the virus this time, what will be the excuse next time? Can we shut businesses, restrict travel, and suspend civil liberties to fight climate change? Do you believe in any limits on the government’s power? Would you feel safer if the bill of rights didn’t exist so the government could protect us and keep us safe without any restrictions?
CHIP – look up “slippery slope fallacy.”
Indeed has twice as many jobs as they did 2 months ago .
A prohibited person with a cache of arms and illegal drugs, no problem. He would have been punished more severely for violating “social distancing” guidelines!
CHIP what is a “prohibited person?”
What is there to disagree with? I said nothing about whether the shutdown is good or bad — just that if you support it don’t complain about $0 bail! It’s for the good of the community right? If you want to argue strawmen please go somewhere else
SHMONK – disagreeing about whether there is a “complete lockdown of our economy and society ” or not. Is that too nuanced a concept? Pretty simple I think. Your (and your fellow anti-shutdown folks) repeat the same thing – the government has taken our freedoms because they are requiring a temporary and partial closure of some businesses and activities. I disagree.
SHMONK – It may not have been the main point in that specific comment, but it is your overall argument and it has been echoed for days here.
