Netflix’s anticipated murder-mystery Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery tops the streaming charts this week, according to the film website ReelGood.
Daniel Craig reprises his role as the Southern detective with an accent similar to Foghorn Leghorn, Benoit Blanc, with a number of other A listers: Kate Hudson, Ed Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, and Leslie Odom Jr. from Hamilton fame.
It didn’t quite live up to its predecessor but still an enjoyable watch. Detective Blanc’s single quote has been making the round on social media and I feel it’s worth reposting: “It’s a dangerous thing to mistake speaking without thought for speaking the truth. Don’t you think?”
Coming in at number two is Paramount+’s hit with Kevin Coster, Yellowstone. In its fifth season, people can’t seem to get enough of this series, although I’ve yet to find the energy to start it. Maybe while this rainstorm continues I’ll pop it on and see what all the fuss is about.
It’s prequel series 1923 also made the list at number six starring Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford. This one seems more interesting as its set in 1923 and the two leads are quite exceptional in most of their work.
Netflix’s Addams Family reboot Wednesday captured the third slot to much fanfare online. I also haven’t started this one yet but it is on my list, especially since her cute dance has gone viral.
Top Gun: Maverick comes in at #5 for the first time since it premiered on Paramount+, Die Hard at #8, and Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan at #9.

What I’m Watching: The White Lotus, Season 2. I won’t spoil anything but wow was this a season! It’s hard to followup a fantastic first season but Creator/Director/Writer Mike White knocked it out of the park. And Jennifer Coolidge is a national treasure. Highly reccommend.
