Does anyone have insight into how high the local gas prices are going to go? I haven’t been driving much in the past 6 months but the prices seem to have jumped up recently. Curious if they’ll keep getting higher.

wow people… gas prices ALWAYS go up in the beginning of spring and beginning of winter when they switch blends in California. It’s been this way for decades….this is just like how most of you forget things past 5 to 7 years. Like our weather patterns and El Nino. We have no drought…it’s part of a cycle. But most of yall drink the koolaid when the city officials call it a drought in order to raise the water rates up. Then when that cycle is over, do they lower the prices back down? nope. they use verbiage to generate fear and worry amoung the populace, thus increasing our water rates, because people forget it’s a cycle and not a real drought. Same thing with the gas prices….twice a year every year and twice a year, every year i hear or read this sort of thing from someone….
The “canceling” of the XL pipeline was a stunt that the oil companies lobbied for. That pipeline is going nowhere. By putting it on pause, guess who now has an excuse to raise prices? Why? Because industry suffered it’s worst profitable year in history. What do you do when there’s a glut of oil? You cut off supply, increase prices and tell everyone it’s “Green”. Enjoy.
Haskels hits the truth nail on the head again. You’re on a roll today.
I can’t believe you all haven’t noticed gas has been slowly going up since Jan 21st. Some of us just stick the card in without looking. Some of us have to check the price. It was not just because of a storm in Texas. Higher gas prices were inevitable with a progressive administration, what did you expect? Free? Hahaha!
Hard to see how they can go very high with demand being low. But the oil companies will figure out how to max their profits.
