Five people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 246 in Buellton on Friday.

At 4:10 p.m., Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to the 600 block of the highway and discovered a collision involving four vehicles.

There was a total of five adult patients. Two refused treatment and three were transported to Marian Regional Medical Center by two ground ambulances with minor injuries.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.

Multi-Injury Traffic Collision on Highway 246 in Buellton

Multiple vehicles crashed on SR-246 at Ballard Canyon Road in Buellton at 4:10p (Friday).

California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported there were five people injured, one of those sustained moderate injuries.

Multiple vehicles were recorded being involved although it’s unclear how many.

Westbound lanes are currently blocked. CHP requested a translator for one Spanish-speaking driver.

Traffic is backed up in the area through Solvang. An alternative route is advised.
