Homeless subject South on DLV…SBPD Responding.
Suspect under the influence, wearing grey shorts carrying a backpack South on DLV.
SBPD on scene.
PD checking the area for the suspect.
The homeless situation can wait. What is extremely important to SB locals is banning plastic straws and stirring sticks.
Well that’s gonna happen a lot more when you have a city the refuses to do anything about the real issues.
Easy to talk tough, what solutions are you proposing? Are you willing to pay more taxes to put more people in jail? To further increase the already highest incarceration rate in the 1st world? If it was an easy problem, it would already have been solved.
Enough coddling. These are rough, dangerous and identifiable persons. They do not belong within our city limits. Fights, starting fires, destroying downtown retail. They are bankrupting us.
They belong in jail. With freedom comes high incarceration rates because people can choose to do stupid things. Get them off the streets because they are doing very stupid things that are a danger to us all.
I would appreciate it if all my taxes went towards one-way Greyhound bus tickets for vagrants. And to security patrols that do nothing but insist that vagrants “move along”. The coconut telegraph will work its magic so that SB is known as a place where vagrants are not welcome.
When you put milk out for the kitties, the kitties will come….and the kitties are coming here in droves to sh#t, p#ss, and to verbally and physically assault us. Now lets get down to the real problem: plastic straws.
Just curious who down-voted all of Roger’s posts to deletion?
He was downvoted by people who consider themselves to be open minded, aware, conscious, and woke.
As far as plastic straws go, someone on here said awhile back you can’t paper ones. My daughter got sturdy paper straws for her preschool, to make crafts. She got a large amount, cheap, got them at the 99 cent store, in Half Moon Bay. Maybe check here. Since they are still being made restaurants should be able to find a ready source.
Unless they are violent, they are only going to get a ticket because the jail is overflowing.
When all residents stop shopping at downtown businesses, will the City Council then address the Homeless situation, or will there be more “plastic straw” issues that are more important than the livelihood of local merchants? The Council should propose a $100 per resident special assessment to ship these vagrants to North (or South) Dakota,
