Firefighters Extinguish Mobile Home Fire in Orcutt

County of Santa Barbara Fire Department (Edhat)

Santa Barbara County Firefighters responded to a structure fire in an Orcutt mobile home park on Sunday.

At 1:28 p.m. county fire crews along with Santa Maria Fire arrived at the Orcutt Ranch Mobile Home Park in the 290 block of N. Broadway.

Firefighters knocked down the fire within ten minutes of arrival. Crews used saws to open the exterior wall and a hose line to extinguish the fire. It was contained to mostly the exterior of the mobile home with minor interior damage adjacent to the bathroom.

One resident was home during the fire and was able to safely exit. There were no reported injuries.

Nearby structures were not affected. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
