I grew up in a family with some equestrians so watching horses and riders is one of the many things I enjoy about the Fiesta Parade.
Another big highlight is the entertaining “fire brigade” and this year I got these pix of kids fired up by it. First, they were watching intently as the crew hooked up a hose, then they were invited to help turn on the hydrant.
After the hose was pressurized they helped turn it off again. They all turned to watch in pure delight as a fireman out in the street released the pressure in a towering fountain that momentarily cooled the crowd as mist wafted in the breeze.
Thank you firefighters, for protecting life & property and for also adding thrills and chills to the parade.
