Santa Barbara County Fire Investigators are searching for suspects and vehicles of interest related to the July 4th brush fire on Foxen Canyon Road.
The brush fire took place in the 1500 block of Foxen Canyon Road, east of the City of Santa Maria ultimately burning 48.2 acres. There were no reports of damaged structures or injuries, but investigators are looking for information regarding two side by side blue ATV’s seen leaving the area where the fire started.
“The blue ATVs were seen leaving the area at a high rate of speed in an easterly direction at or around the time the fire started. Investigators believe the individuals operating the ATV’s may have
information regarding the cause of the fire,” the Santa Barbara County Fire Department said in a written statement.
Below are pictures of a similar side by side ATV although it is unknown what brand or model of ATV was seen leaving the area.
