Firefighters on Vandenberg Air Force Base responded to a fire that broke out at Space Launch Complex 2 on Thursday morning.
Around 10:00 a.m., a piece of hot metal contacted flammable materials causing a fire in an elevator shaft while the complex was undergoing deconstruction.
Firefighters responded to the scene and climbed 13 floors ensuring the fires were extinguished on every level.
There were no reported injuries.
