People think this younger kids gang thing (if that’s what this is) is something that only started happening locally in the last 15-20 years or so. I remember my niece, when she was a student at La Cumbre Jr. High, coming home to tell us some Mexican chick had hidden a straight razor in her beehive hairdo (’60s). This razor-toting girl pulled the razor out during gym class shower time and waved it around, yelling obscenities and threats.
They need to get a grip on these thugs in Carp. A friend’s 6th grade daughter has been bullied relentlessly at the Middle School and the school will do nothing about it. Finally the girl has gone to stay with an aunt out of town and goes to school there with her cousins. Bullying has become a national problem with at least one or two children committing suicide every year because of it.
