Fatal Shooting Near Santa Maria’s Town Center Mall

Last night just before midnight, Officers responded to several 911 calls of a shooting that had occurred in the parking structure of the Town Center Mall.  Officers quickly arrived and contacted several individuals at the scene and then located a 17-year-old male of Santa Maria, had sustained a fatal gunshot wound.  Officers established a crime scene and began gathering information associated with the event.  A short time later Officers determined a twenty-four-year-old female from Santa Maria was also struck by gunfire and sustained significant but non-life-threatening injuries. 

We are looking to speak with anyone that was at the location when the gunfire occurred.  Anyone with information is encouraged to call Detective Seth Hall at (805)928-3781 ext. 1308.

Anoche, justo antes de la medianoche, los oficiales respondieron a varias llamadas al 911 sobre un tiroteo que había ocurrido en la estructura de estacionamiento del Town Center Mall. Los oficiales llegaron rápidamente y contactaron a varias personas en el lugar y luego localizaron a un hombre de 17 años de Santa María que había sufrido una herida de bala mortal. Los oficiales establecieron una escena del crimen y comenzaron a recopilar información relacionada con el evento. Poco tiempo después, los oficiales determinaron que una mujer de veinticuatro años, de Santa María, también fue alcanzada por disparos y sufrió lesiones significativas pero que no ponen en peligro su vida.
